O exercício físico como estratégia não farmacológica na prevenção da síndrome metabólica em praticantes assíduos da geração saúde

A síndrome metabólica é caracterizada por um conjunto de fatores de risco, como obesidade central, resistência à insulina, hipertensão arterial e dislipidemia, que aumentam significativamente o risco de doenças cardiovasculares e diabetes tipo 2. Este estudo teve como objetivo revisar a literatura científica acerca da influência da atividade física como estratégia não farmacológica na prevenção e no controle da síndrome metabólica, com ênfase na geração Z. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura baseada em 16 artigos científicos selecionados entre 2005 e 2024, disponíveis nas bases PubMed, SciELO e Google Acadêmico. Os estudos analisados apontam que a prática regular de atividade física melhora a sensibilidade à insulina, reduz o acúmulo de gordura visceral e contribui para o controle dos níveis pressóricos e lipídicos. Observa-se que a geração Z tem demonstrado maior engajamento em práticas corporais, o que representa uma oportunidade estratégica para ações preventivas. Conclui-se que a promoção de um estilo de vida ativo durante a juventude pode ter impacto positivo na saúde metabólica a longo prazo, contribuindo para a redução dos índices de doenças crônicas
