Tratamentos farmacológicos e não farmacológicos sintomáticos para Transtorno do Espectro Autista

O estudo teve como objetivo revisar a literatura científica de forma integrativa sobre tratamentos farmacológicos e não farmacológicos sintomáticos do transtorno do espectro autista (TEA). A base de dados utilizada foi o PubMed. Os termos de busca foram “autism”, “autistic spectrum disorder” e “drug therapy”. Apenas artigos publicados em inglês entre 2019 e 2025 foram incluídos. Critérios de inclusão e exclusão foram aplicados para filtrar os resultados da busca. De um total de 232 artigos, 15 foram selecionados, e um livro também foi incluído. A literatura descreve que os tratamentos sintomáticos para o TEA podem ser farmacológicos ou não farmacológicos. No entanto, nenhuma terapia farmacológica aprovada para o TEA apresentou melhora ideal nos sintomas do transtorno, especialmente na irritabilidade. Além disso, não existem tratamentos farmacológicos sintomáticos eficazes para o TEA, e os indivíduos frequentemente respondem de forma insatisfatória às abordagens convencionais para condições mentais ou físicas complexas. Consequentemente, abordagens alternativas, como intervenções não farmacológicas, têm sido cada vez mais exploradas. Estratégias promissoras para o TEA incluem antipsicóticos, antidepressivos e a Análise do Comportamento Aplicada (ABA). Estudos futuros devem ser rigorosamente planejados para propor novas intervenções farmacológicas e não farmacológicas com o objetivo de melhorar os sintomas do TEA.
