O uso de cigarros eletrônicos atrelado a infecções pulmonares em jovens
uma revisão da literatura

O crescente uso de cigarros eletrônicos, dispositivos que administram drogas como nicotina ou maconha, entre os jovens, tem se tornado uma preocupação de saúde pública. Dessa forma, foi conduzido um estudo de revisão da literatura para explorar a conexão entre o uso desses dispositivos e a incidência de infecções pulmonares. Os resultados mostram que os jovens entre 18 e 24 anos têm as taxas mais elevadas de consumo de cigarros eletrônicos. Além disso, o uso desses dispositivos pode levar a danos nos tecidos pulmonares, resultando em sintomas graves, como insuficiência respiratória. Portanto, é necessária a regulamentação eficaz dos cigarros eletrônicos para evitar o uso indiscriminado, especialmente entre os jovens. Adicionalmente, direcionar investimentos em pesquisa para entender melhor os efeitos a longo prazo da vaporização e desenvolver abordagens terapêuticas mais eficazes para as lesões pulmonares associadas ao uso de cigarros eletrônicos.
